NAME OF THE SONG: FIVE LITTLE MONKEYS JUMPING ON THE BED
I chose this song because it is fun and easy.
The aim of this song is that the children sing and move as monkeys. They also jump and touch their head.
The children learn the numbers to five and they have to count backwards to zero. They learn vocabulary and some movements.
This song is for four years old.
Description of the activity:
Good morning children! How are you?
Today, we will sing a song. The first thing we have to do is to learn the numbers until five. Let´s go everybody! This number is … (the teacher writes in the blackboard: 0 zero, 1 one, 2 two, 3 three, 4 four and 5 five) and the children say the number. Then they count backwards to zero. We also point with our fingers the number.
Now, we are monkeys, so we move as monkeys. The monkeys raise their arms upwards and they jump very tall. Come on children! All together!
When the song says: “one fell off and bumped his head”, we fall off and touch our head.
When the song says: “Mama called the doctor”, we do as we were speaking by phone.
When the doctor speaks, we speak more strong and we point with our finger while we sing the song.
